How it all began …
After several years of running their enterprise software and services firm, Erica Burles and Darby Schafer, the owners of Encinitas Technology Center (ETC), were looking to set down roots in the North County Coastal area by investing in a building. Not surprisingly, Encinitas was their first choice. They wanted to create a workspace that was a departure from the traditional, stale corporate environment and that addressed the new reality-there are no more 9 to 5 jobs.
Today’s professionals and small business owners need comfortable and flexible workspaces to integrate their work and personal lives. Erica and Darby found the perfect building and redesigned the space from the ground up with high-tech conveniences and well-designed interiors. There’s even a surfboard rack and shower.
A sprit of collaboration and community has grown amongst the Internet developers, marketers, graphic designers and IT professionals now leasing space at Encinitas Technology Center. This sense of community is a plus for business owners that often experience the isolation of working alone or with one other person. While each tenant is independent and has the privacy of an individual office, they can easily interact with others. Some have become running and surfing buddies.
If you’re looking for a small office, virtual office, professional mailbox or high-tech conference rooms for meetings, check out Encinitas Technology Center.
